America Trip and Haul

I'm back!!!! So as you know I have recently returned from a trip to Chicago to see my boyfriend while he is on his J1 and I have to say I loved it! The sightseeing, the culture, the landmarks and of course the shopping! So I was there from August 25th to September 8th and when I got there so many stores had sales on, and even better I was the for Labor Day so many stores had an offer of 50% off the sale price, that made me a very happy shopper! Walking up and down North Michigan Avenue surrounded my designer stores like Guess and Burberry, Vicotria Sectrets and make up stores I was in every girls heaven, I felt like Blair Waldorf!!

This was my first proper holiday without my parents and I didn't think it would be as much fun as it was, I had a blast! There was so much to see and do I wish I could have stayed longer. During my time there I saw the Field Museum which was amazing, the Shedd Aquarium, the Museum of Science and Industry, Adler Planetarium and the Willis Tower Sky Deck which I freaked out on because I am terrified of heights. As well as these I saw the Navy Pier, watched the Cubs in Wrigley Field, I was in the hotel in Trump Tower, Linclon Park Zoo, watched the end of summer fireworks over the bay, shopping and watched The Wizard Of Oz in Millennium Park plus so much more.  I would recommend anyone to go and see Chicago it is a beautiful city and I can see myself going again in the future!

Now onto the part you are really interested in the shopping!!!! When I was shopping I was
looking at the prices and comparing them to home to see how expensive things were and yes somethings were working out more expensive but some things where working out better value. I am in love with Sephora and I could have spent all my money there but I restrained myself to a few products. I also made purchases in Macys and Target.

As I said I kept my Sephora purchases to a minimum buying two Urban Decay Make Up Setting Sprays, the De-Slick setting spray and the All Nighter setting spray. I have seen so many beauty YouTubers use these and I have wanted to try these out for a long time so as soon as I saw these I knew they had to be mine! Another purchase was the Smith's Rosebud Salve balm, I purchased this on the recommendation of a sales assistant when I was looking for some lip balm.  Finally, I purchased a Smashbox Try it kit. In this kit you got Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Photo Finish Lip Primer, Full Exposure Mascara, Limitless Eye Liner and Lip Enhancing Gloss. I am so excited to try these!!!
I made two purchases in Macys at the Benefit counter. I was never sure about paying a lot of money for a product before trying it out to see if it is worth it so I found sample sizes of products for basically no cost so this was the perfect opportunity. I snatched up a sample sized Porefessional primer and They're Real mascara and can not wait to try them out. If they live up to the hype that surrounds them then I will surely be purchasing the full sized products (after saving up for them of course).
Finally one day I had some time to kill and decided to take a look round Target, I took one look at the size of the make up section and I killed over an hour in there looking at all the different brands. I came across the brand E.L.F and I could not believe my eyes when I looked at the price and I saw that each piece was between $1 and $4 so I grabbed a few essentials with the intentions of calling back before I left to come home to Ireland but I did not get chance unfortunately. The pieces that I managed to pick up included Shine Eraser Sheets, Lengthening and Defining Mascara, Brightening Eyeliner Pencil, Flawless Eyeshadow, Eyelid Primer and Liquid Liner. I have heard nothing but good things about this brand so I am really excited to try them out.

Along with all this make up I bought some really cute lounge trousers from Victoria Secret (another store I could spend all my money in) and a fabulous Guess bag which I got in the Labor Day sales for a mere $50!!!!

All in all my trip to Chicago was a success and I would go back at any given chance just for the shopping. I will have reviews of all the make up products on Kayliegh Land as I use them!

Don't forget to give the Kayliegh Land Facebook page a like to keep up to date with all the latest goings on on the blog :)
