A Vision In White

So debs season is well and truly upon us here in Ireland and I remember my debs like it was yesterday. The most fun (but stressful) part of it all was choosing a dress. Like a girls I had a vision of what my perfect dress would be like, I found one as close to it as I could and I had an amazing night.

Over the next few weeks I am going to be doing a debs (or prom for all you Americans reading) segment where I will show you how I would style different dresses for the big night. All dresses will have links to the website so you can check them out further if you like them.

This first look I have named "A Vision In White". Now you are probably thinking "what the hell! White to a debs/prom? She is crazy!" now give it a change. You may be surprised but white gowns are no longer reserved for waling down the aisle and they are cropping up in award ceremonies, debs and red carpets all over the world. So if you like what you see then put white into your maybe pile of colors.

I chose this white chiffon floor length dress as it is so goddess inspired in the design of it. It has beaded detain on the shoulders with a shallow plunge neck line. It also pulls in at the waist and the flows over the hip to give it an airy feel while bringing attention back to the bust area for the sex appeal of the dress. I could have gone really traditional with the shoes for this dress but i decided to go for boot. This boot does have the vintage feel with the lace overlay all over the boot and will create a good contrast with the classical features of the dress. I have kept everything else with the dress very simple with a satin clutch bag, a single string of pearls and a 1940's inspired diamond ring.
