1. What is your favourite Christmas Movie/s?
My family has a box of Christmas movies that gets taken down from the attic and has pride of place beside the tv for the month of December. Christmas is a really family orientated time in my family full of traditions and movies are where they start. Every year we watch the same films which are The Santa Clause movies, Its A Wonderful Life, Mickey Mouse Once Upon A Christmas, Mickey Mouse Twice Upon a Christmas, Miracle On 34th Street and any other we can find on tv. However the Movie of all Christmas Movies that is the mother of all Christmas movies is The Muppets Christmas Carol which has been watched annualy since it was released in 1992!
2. Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning?
Always christmas morning after my dad has had to wake us up after he has been sat up for hours waiting for us to get up and open our presents.
3. Do you have a favourite Christmas memory?
One year when my sisters and I were really young after we had fallen asleep on Christmas eve my dad took talk powder and sprinkle it on the floor from the fire place to the christmas tree and around the living room and walked through it with his boots on to make it look like Santa has laid out our presents and walked round our living room. It really was a magical christmas when we woke up the next morning!
4. Favourite festive food?
Christmas stuffing! My family has a recipe for christmas stuffing that has been handed down through the generations on my fathers side and it is something I look forward to all year!
5. Favourite Christmas gift?
I love anything my parents get me but 2 years ago my neighbors got me the best present ever and that was a Leinster Rugby shirt signed by Rob Kearney! I loved it so much and it was such a surprise that it make me cry!
6. Favourite Christmas scent?
The family stuffing cooking in the oven, the smell fills the house and when I smell that I know it is going to be a great christmas :)
7. Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions?
My dad always cooks the turkey, ham and stuffing on christmas eve. I usually help my mum set the dining room table with all the good silverware and glasses so it is all nice for breakfast the following morning. We will all then sit down and watch a movie together and then go to bed.
8. What tops your tree?
A Santa Clause that is almost as old as me.
9. As a kid what was the one (crazy, wild, extravagant) gift you always asked for but never received?
This may make me sound really spoiled but I do usually get what I ask for for christmas. All my life I have gotten my presents from my parents and then gotten my "Santa" presents even to this day! When I was really young I wanted a pony but I never got one but now I see that asking for a pony was just a crazy thing!
10. What's the best part about Christmas for you?
My family! As crazy as we are and even though they all get on my nerves at times I could still not imagine christmas without my family and my dad waking us up at 8am (like he has always had to).
Okay now I have told you all about my christmas I tag all of you readers to do this tag and share your christmas with everyone!
xoxo
